Returns
We hope that your order will be just what you wanted, but in case it isn't, we are happy to offer you a 14 day money-back guarantee on all goods. You may return any unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of the date of delivery for exchange or a full refund.
Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of the products and ensure they are returned to us safely & in a saleable condition. Once we receive the goods, we will process your refund, excluding the delivery charge. We regret that postage & packing are direct costs and cannot be refunded in all circumstances. For large furniture items, a standard £30 charge will be levied towards the cost of the return carriage (even in the case of the original delivery being free of charge).
Should you wish to return an item, please call 0870 803 3226 to arrange the courier collection. Should your order arrive damaged or with any discrepencies, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery (info@fairgift.co.uk, 0870 803 3226).
The returns policy applies to the UK and international orders.
Quality of Goods
When supplying goods to its clients, Fairgift is acting as an aggregator and delivery service provider. The company makes no warranty of quality beyond that made by the manufacturer or supplier of the product. Any quality issues with goods received through Fairgift must be addressed directly to the supplier in question. Fairgift will facilitate this communication.
Gift Purchase
Purchases of gifts will only be accepted with payment. Fairgift accepts all major credit and debit cards, which will be debited at the time the order is placed.
Alteration to Gift Lists
The listholder who created the list will select a password which provides them with access to alter the list of non purchased items at any time. However, once an item has been purchased, it cannot be amended. Fairgift will not divulge the log-in details to anyone who is not an employee of the company but can accept no liability for the effects of any change to a list as a result of unauthorised access to a list.
List Closing
Once all the purchases on a wedding list have been made or at any other time, either member of a couple may instigate the closing process. At this point, Fairgift customer services will get in touch to arrange delivery of the products.
Delivery
Gift lists can take up to eight weeks to assemble and deliver after they are closed. As the goods are received they are collated, checked and delivered to the address specified by the list originator on a date convenient to both the recipient and Fairgift. Gifts will not be individually gift-wrapped. While Fairgift will make every effort to deliver completed gift lists at the time agreed, the company cannot be held responsible for inconvenience caused by unavoidable delays or the failure by suppliers or delivery companies to deliver on time.
Gift Wrapping & Messaging Service
The gift wrapping and gift messaging services are for your own personal and non-commercial use. You agree that any messages sent by us on your behalf to a third party will not contain anything which could be construed as harrassing, threatening, vulgar, abusive, obscene, defamatory, racist or which may cause embarrassment or distress to any person or are otherwise unlawful or objectionable. You also agree that you will not impersonate any person, including but not limited to any of our employees or customers. You are entirely responsible for any text or other material which you submit or send on this message system and Fairgift accepts no liability for any such content.
We do not pre-screen messages, but may monitor content from time to time. We have the right to refuse to send or display messages and terminate access to the gift wrapping message service at any time and without liability to you.
Discontinued Items
In the event that Fairgift receives notice that an item is no longer supplied by the relevant supplier:
- If the item has not been purchased, the couple will be notified and it will be removed from those lists on which it features
- If the item has been purchased, the couple will be notified and the item will be removed and an equivalent credit made available to be used to purchase an alternative gift during the list closing process
Storage
List holders will be advised when their list has been assembled. Fairgift will then hold the items for a maximum of one month. Thereafter, Fairgift will charge a storage fee of £50 per month.
Your Information is Confidential
Fairgift provides a secure environment for the purchase of housewares and gifts. Information gathered by the company in the course of its activities is used exclusively in the management of gift lists and the processing of orders placed with the company. Fairgift does not sell, rent or otherwise trade any of its customers personal information.
Right to Decline
Fairgift reserves the right to deliver to manage any list at any time. If this occurs after goods have been bought from a list, Fairgift will deliver the goods bought and close the relevant list.
Force Majeure
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our resonable control ("Force Majeure Event"). A Force Majeure Event includes (but is not limited to) any act, event, ommission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes (without limitation) the following: (1) strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action; (2) civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or war; (3) fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster; and (4) acts, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government. Our performance under any contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeur Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period.
